Paint Technician

Status: Hourly Full-time, Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Paint Technician is a leader of a three-person team to paint products with superior quality and guarantee process compliance. Painting is the core competency of Thierica Display Products, and this position requires an excellent work history and knowledge of automated liquid painting.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for paint performance of a multi-booth robotic painting system including but not limited to Quality, Yield Rate, Paint Line Up Time, Paint Usage, 5S of equipment.
  • Ensure all processes are being maintained and followed: Set-up Sheets, Down time log, Mix logs, First Piece Approval documents, ect.
  •  Able to program and trouble shoot multi-axis painting robots.
  • Experienced with P-mix units and able to trouble shoot, adjust, and calibrate if needed.
  • Monitor the quality of the parts after each booth continuously.
  • Adhere to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping.
  • Monitor resin to catalyst ratios and adjust equipment to keep the painting process under control.
  • Leader of the paint line. Making sure the line unloader and loader follow the proper processes.

Physical Demands:

  • May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
  • May be required stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements:

  • Great attendance record
  • Minimum 1 year of Thierica hourly experience
  • Must be flexible for schedule and assignment
  • Good quality inspection abilities
  • Must have basic computer skills and able to use Microsoft Office
  • Must have basic mathematical skills
